What does the HPECC do?
The HPECC plans events designed to enhance the educational experience of students in the health, PE and coaching professions. Events/programs include volunteer work days, physical activity/recreation gatherings, fundraisers, socials, picnics, attending sporting events, and professional development opportunities such as interview and resume workshops.
Who runs the HPECC?
HPECC members nominate and elect student members to serve as officers. Officer positions include: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Pro-Block Representative. The HPECC is a student-run organization. Officers and students develop and implement all of the events.
Why join the HPECC?
Being a member in the HPECC is about gaining experience, building your resume, networking, and general professional development. It is an opportunity to have fun and interact with your peers and faculty members outside of class. Additionally, HPE majors can count certain club activities towards their Teacher Education Professional Development Passport.
How do I join the HPECC?
It's simple... anyone can join the HPECC by signing up to become a member and pay $10 dues per academic year. Membership dues go toward funding HPECC events or activities. Additionally as a member of HPECC, your membership is recorded on your academic transcript. If you are interested in getting involved as a member or leader contact the HPECC faculty advisor.
