Course Description:
This course is designed to develop fundamental yoga skills and knowledge. Topics include history, terminology, wellness, safety, equipment, stretching, core exercises, and proper breathing, relaxation techniques, body positioning, posture, meditation, and balance, in a variety of body positions (asanas). Upon successful completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to participate in yoga practice and make healthy life choices.
