Course Description:
This course is designed to develop fundamental Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) skills and knowledge. Topics include history, terminology, wellness, safety, equipment, underwater adaptations, and dive planning tables. Upon successful completion, students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for certification by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Open water certification trips are available post course (fee) and are not required to earn a grade. Requirements: Must be able to swim 200 yards non-stop, tread water for 10 minutes, and be medically fit to dive. (Fee charged).
