Course Description:
This course is designed to develop fundamental mountain biking skills and knowledge. Topics include history, terminology, wellness, safety, equipment, Leave No Trace/MTB etiquette, judgement, ascending/descending steep terrain and obstacles, braking, maintaining flow/speed, and trail maintenance. Upon successful completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to participate in single-track mountain biking and make healthy life choices.
