Course Description:
This course is designed to develop fundamental mat Pilates skills and knowledge. Topics include history, terminology, wellness, safety, equipment, proper breathing, and mind-body exercises which help strengthen and condition the muscles to build core strength and flexibility. Upon successful completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to participate in mat Pilates and make healthy life choices.
