Originally from Illinois and Wisconsin, Keren has lived and worked in Alaska for the last fifteen years honing her outdoor and indoor skills. Her passions are cats, ice and rock climbing, skiing and ice skating, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, mountaineering, glacier traveling, and so much more. She is a huge advocate for women and nonbinary and queer individuals to be active in fields that are considered more “male” jobs. The outdoors and sports are for everyone, as long as you’re open to them. Life isn’t always winning either, PE and outdoors show you how fun it is to fail while still succeeding.
