Couch to 5K

Course Description: 
This course is designed to develop the fundamental skills and knowledge to participate in a 5K event. Topics include history, terminology, wellness, safety, equipment, stretching, core exercises, distance walking/jogging, pacing, interval training, circuit training, and calisthenics. Upon successful completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to develop an individualized training program, make healthy life choices, and participate in a 5K running event.
