Course Description:
This course is designed to develop fundamental fitness and wellness skills and knowledge. Topics include history, terminology, wellness, safety, equipment, stretching, core exercises, distance running, pacing, interval training, games, circuit training, and calisthenics. Upon successful completion, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to participate in a personal fitness program and make healthy life choices.
